AERIAL OFF THE LIP         Rider: Bart David         Location: Playa de Las Americas/ Tenerife

 

1 The key of a radical aerial off the lip is a well timed, powerful bottom-turn. Try to get as much speed, as possible, before you hit the lip.

2 Now, as you are right on top of the wave, try to use the power of the breaking part, to catapult you into the air.

 

3 Take off.

4 It´s airtime: use the  lift of your sail and try to fly over the whitewater.

 

5 Bring the bodyweight over the board again.

6 Concentrate on the touchdown.

 

7 Don´t forget: whitewater can be tricky!
