Duck Tack              Rider: Jürgen Schall              Location: Playa Chica/ El Médano

1
Change your feet into switch stanche position.
The new front foot has to be close to the mast.

2
While bending your knees, open the sail and give pressure on your toes, to make the board carve into the wind.

3
Now a good timing is very important. Throw the sail into the wind.

4
Keep the foot pressure.

5
The last part of the Duck Tack is equal to a 360. Keeping the pressure on the board you put the sail backwards, to turn through the wind.

6
When the nose of your board turned into the new direction, put the mast straight and close the sail.

While you dive under your sail, try to pull the clew of the rig direction water, like this the sail will automatically rise again.

Maybe sometimes it´s even better, to stay at
the beach.

Duck Tacks are to difficult, anyway!
