The conditions we´ve had the last weeks have been typical for this time of the year: Cabezo didn´t work that often and the strong winds have been more at the northern spots (Güimar, El Socorro, Poris de Abona). It has definitly been the time to concentrate on Las Americas. Since almost two weeks huge waves make a surfer´s dreams come true. Last week Dani Bruch even went out surfing at 7 a.m., riding some Monsters of up to 7 meters, sharing the lineup just with the sunrise! See, what happened...

It´s time to windsurf Las Americas! Wind for 4.0 to 4.5 and waves of up to 3.5 meters lately invited us for some incredible windsurfing sessions. See Marc O. backlooping, while Francesco kicks his board into a high aerial off the lip. For more action pics and some sequences klick here!

Las Americas has been going off! The past weeks the swell allmost daily rolled onto the reefs of the southern and the western coast. Some days the break of Las Galletas had been the better choice for many surfers with less experience. The Spot between El Médano and Los Christianos normally works well with South- swell, but as the waves in Las Americas sometimes reached enormous height, a nice 1,5 meter wave also reached this spot.

Eventhough it has not been El Cabezo at it´s best, last week we´ve had three days of windsurfing at our favourite break. Wind for 5.3 and Waves of only 1 to 1.5 meters didn´t allow any monster jumps, but the conditions have at least  been good enough, to get some airtime.

Like always at this time of the year, everybody is waiting to sail Las Americas´ clean waves. On the pictures, you see what the conditions have been like on Tuesday, 12th of December. Light wind made it difficult to get out, but once you got a wave . . .

With the new challenge Kiteboarding, the "watersport puzzle" is complete. Now it´s time to fly, even if El Cabezo doesn´t offer strong wind and big waves. The level here is getting higher and higher (as the jumps- see "blueflame" Marc on the pics!). Marc Shinn (2nd place) and Yoann Kerherve (17th place) just came back from the World- Cup in Brasil. Marc finished the world tour  2nd overall this year!
